We implement ISO 14001: A commitment to sustainability
The Tecnitex team has been working all year with one goal in mind: reducing waste and emissions resulting from our work.
This strong commitment to environmental impact and caring for the world around us is not just about words; we have all gotten involved in implementing a series of measures to achieve this.
Let us tell you a bit more about the steps we have taken to be more sustainable.
Integration of UNE-EN ISO 14001 certification into our management system
During this year, 2023, we have taken our commitment to environmental impact very seriously, but how do you start becoming more sustainable as a company?
Undoubtedly, the integration of the UNE-EN ISO 14001 certification into our management system has been the key. With it, Tecnitex establishes a commitment to sustainability, reducing waste and emissions through a series of concrete measures.
Measures like the following:
Adapting equipment and facilities to low consumption
To achieve this, we have renewed pressure groups and adapted our facilities’ lighting to the LED system. In addition, we have installed solar panels to promote clean energy in our daily operations.
Hiring a waste manager
Hiring a manager for the comprehensive management of both urban and hazardous waste has been fundamental in implementing measures to separate and recycle different types of waste.
Control systems and planning for waste reduction
We have also adapted our facilities for better waste management and implemented new working methodologies.
This provides us with optimized control, planning, and monitoring in the management of scrap, WEEE, water, electricity, diesel, etc.
Progressive implementation of more sustainable packaging
In 2023, we replaced plastic packaging with wood or cardboard with a certain percentage of recycled content. A great step that is just the beginning of change.
All these steps have led us to obtain the ISO 14001 certification for all our systems, through the implementation and adaptation of documentation, conducting drills, training staff, and obtaining the NIMA code, among others.
We are very proud of the results obtained after this year of work and planning, a roadmap that continues, and one in which we will keep pushing forward in the coming year.
We cannot fail to thank the entire Tecnitex team for their commitment to the environment and for working hand in hand to improve the planet, starting from the place where we work.
Because a greener planet is what we wish for future generations.
