From a family workshop to a leader in passive fire protection: Tecnitex Fire Systems celebrates 15 years

The company celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with more than 70% of its revenue coming from international markets.

Casarrubios del Monte, September 2025 – This year, we celebrate 15 years since the founding of Tecnitex Fire Systems. What started as a family project full of passion, effort, and technical knowledge is now a consolidated company, a leader in textile systems for fire compartmentation and smoke control, with a clear international outlook: more than 70% of our revenue now comes from abroad.

The beginnings: when everything was done by hand

From our beginnings, when we barely had resources and everything was done manually, we were very clear that the key would be to learn, adapt, and progress. We started with only family members, working against the clock, handcrafting each system, and combining technical tasks with operational management.

“We went through a tough period. We did everything by hand, and it took four times longer than it does now. We couldn’t keep up, but we knew we couldn’t give up,” recalls Sonia Alonso, co-founder.

That initial phase, far from limiting us, shaped the company’s technical and problem-solving character. We learned from scratch about electronics, mechanical manufacturing, communications, and numerical control. All that knowledge was applied to build a solid structure that today allows us to control all our production processes internally, which is exceptional in our sector.

Engineering, own products, and industrial vision

One of the great milestones in these 15 years has been consolidating a production model that makes us unique in Spain: we design, manufacture, integrate, and support each of our systems without relying on third parties. This technical autonomy allows us to guarantee timelines, quality, and adaptability even in highly complex projects.

“We were the first national company to ensure that the entire production process was carried out in-house. We even surpassed other manufacturers who never reached that level of control,” explains Raúl Alonso, CEO of Tecnitex.

Thanks to this, we offer turnkey solutions that combine our own technology, full traceability, and a 100% technical approach.

Certified technologies to protect complex spaces

Throughout our journey, we have developed a range of textile systems, both fire curtains and smoke control barriers, certified under European standards such as EN 1634-1, EN 12101-1, and EN 13501-2, adaptable to all types of buildings: shopping centers, hospitals, offices, industries, logistics platforms, and more.

Among our standout products are:

  • MFB EI-180: fire curtain irrigated with integrity and thermal insulation.

  • MFB EW-120: low thermal radiation solution for large spaces without irrigation.

  • MSB DH-60/DA-150: mobile or fixed curtains for smoke control, configurable in different geometries.

“What we bring to the sector is knowledge, experience, technology, and a complete solution. We control all production phases, and that makes the difference,” says Raúl.

Committed to our community, team, and environment

We grow, yes, but without losing our roots. We have always focused on creating jobs in our immediate environment. Most of our team comes from Casarrubios del Monte and nearby towns, reinforcing our commitment to local industrial development.

We also firmly believe in equal opportunities. Today, we can proudly say that we maintain a balanced workforce with a strong female presence in production, which is uncommon in the industrial sector.

For years, we have also promoted a real sustainability policy. We have our own photovoltaic installations for self-consumption, we have integrated electric vehicle chargers into our facilities, and we continue exploring measures to reduce our energy footprint.

International growth and an unchanging vision

Our growth has been steady since the beginning, but in recent years it has taken a significant leap. Thanks to the trust of our clients and partners, more than 70% of our current revenue comes from international markets, and we are actively involved in projects in Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

“When a company stagnates, it starts to move backwards. That’s why we keep growing and we are already working on opening offices abroad,” says Raúl.

Our medium-term goal is to consolidate this international expansion by establishing a direct presence in new markets and adapting our technical solutions to the regulations, architectural conditions, and specific needs of each region. And we do it with the same mindset that has guided us since day one: commitment, effort, and passion for well-done engineering.

After 15 years on this journey, we continue to believe in what we do: designing and manufacturing reliable, innovative, and sustainable passive protection solutions that contribute to saving lives and protecting spaces with technical precision and a long-term vision.
